The Great Debate was epic.
After some passionate and powerful speeches, the adjudicators awarded the opposition team of Harriet Lerner, Kayna Kennedy, Jennifer Whitmore and John Brady with the victory.
The proposition team of Aoife Mulhern, Ella Huang, Stephen Donnelly and Steven Matthews put forward compelling points, with Ella being awarded the title of Speaker of the Evening.
Many thanks to the large audience who attended with all monies raised going to Loreto Aweil, to the Chairperson, Megan Tuckett, to our timekeepers Abigail Devine and Sofiia Fedun, to our adjudicators Adam Burke (Jigsaw Wicklow), Ms Quigley and Ms. Carol Buckley (BOM) and to all the staff who supported the students and this debate to come to its fruition. And finally to Cafe Pico for providing the refreshments.
