Today marked a special milestone int Loreto Bray's history as we celebrated 175 Years in the Community at our Opening School Mass, which was led by Bishop Donal Roche.
Our Head Girl, Abigail Devine, opened the celebrations with a wonderful speech and students were involved in the choir, the musical accompaniment, presentation of the symbols, the penitential rite, the readings, offertory processions, as altar servers and as ministers of the Eucharist.
Ms. Ryan rounded out the occasion with beautiful words that reflected on Loreto Bray's pivotal role in the community over the past 175 Years and the rich legacy it has cultivated. In the words of our foundress, Mary Ward, 'Do good and do it well'.
A special thanks to Ms. Walsh and Ms. Quigley who organised the beautiful service and to our wonderful choir and musicians under the tutelage of Ms. Corcoran, Ms. Wainwright and Ms. Mahon.
We were delighted to welcome members of the Loreto Order and Community, members of the Board of Management, past principal and deputy principal, and distinguished guests to this joyful and uplifting occasion.
