Some aspects of the
Enrolment Policy of the school are under review at the moment.
However the principles contained in the Policy as set out
below are unlikely to change significantly.
The Application Procedure at present means that if you are in
the open category (other applicants), then it is a "first-come-first-served"
system. The number of places in this category varies depending
on the balance from the other two categories. We take 150 students
into First Year and as many as 50 could come from the "other
applicants" Category, or in some years as few as 25! Already
there are 78 applications in this category for 2012. Places
are usually offered when the students are in November of Fifth
Class.

POLICY FOR LORETO SECONDARY SCHOOL BRAY
Education in a Loreto
School strives for the all round development of the student,
promotes Christian values, attitudes and principles. It affirms
the personal worth and dignity of each student, fosters awareness
of the responsibility to work for peace, justice and unity
in society. The school endeavours to encourage excellence
in all areas of the student's life, in an atmosphere of interest,
concern and friendship for each person.
The Board of Management delegates to the Principal
the day-to-day administration involved in the admission of new
students to the school according to the norms and conditions
laid down by the Board of Management.
In general the following criteria and order
will apply to determine the allocation of places to incoming
first
year students:
Ÿ Sisters
of present students.
Ÿ Pupils
in St. Patricks Loreto Primary School Bray.
Ÿ Other
applicants. PROCEDURE:
* Everyone must follow application procedure.
* All
applications must be made at least two years prior to the admission.
* Applications
in each of the above categories will be processed in order of
receipt of completed Application Forms. ONLY ONE APPLICATION FROM ANY ONE PERSON WILL
BE ACCEPTED AT ANY ONE TIME, EXCEPT IN THE CASE OF SISTERS.
POSTAL APPLICATIONS ARE DEALT WITH AT THE
END OF THE DAY OF RECEIPT.

* The Board of
Management's decision on any application
